Top Shelf
Shelves is a family owned and operated business in New Jersey. We specialize in building unique solid
wood shelving and display systems. We use only the finest materials. The
approach to designing these shelves was inspired by the large extent of my
wife's pottery collection. A typical display case required that some of the
pieces stand in front of others, blocking the view of the items in the back of
the arrangement. Her collection also included items that hang on the wall. So I
started to design a shelf that would accommodate the pottery items of different
height and width, and left spaces for the items that hang directly on the wall.
The result is our line of Top Shelf Shelves.
Top Shelf Shelves are
hand made, one at a time with great care and craftsmanship. The material is
solid oak, not oak veneered plywood, but solid 3/4 inch by 5 1/2 inch oak
planks. The shelves are stained and oiled and hand buffed to a smooth water
resistant finish, ready to display your most cherished possessions.
The method used to mount the shelf is very discrete. No hardware or brackets
show to distract from the display of your items. The shelf appears to float
against the wall.
Top Shelf Shelves are wall mounted with no visible
mounting hardware, to give the appearance of a floating shelf.
The combination of the solid oak, the hand made craftmanship,
the floating shelf appearance, and your one-of-a-kind collection, will
make for very unique wall decor.
